Battles
Thérouanne nestles in the hollow of the Lys valley. Thérouanne, currently a rural town, has a prestigious past. It was the capital of a Gallic tribe. These Gauls were called the Morins. They gave our territory the name Morinie. Caesar's legions had a hard time conquering the area, but the Romans built a city there, the administrative centre of inland Morinie, a trading centre served by a dense road network.
