What is the Accueil Vélo label?
Accommodation providers, restaurants, bike hire and repair firms, tourist offices, visitor and leisure sites - all located along cycle routes - can obtain this label by committing to a national quality standard. The aim is to raise the profile of tourist service providers located close to a signposted cycle route, and to guarantee cyclists a welcome and services that are truly tailored to their needs.
In concrete terms, each establishment awarded the label undertakes to offer a warm welcome with advice tailored to cyclists' needs, free secure parking for bicycles, the possibility of leaving panniers in peace and quiet, a repair kit for minor damage, and an electrical socket for recharging the batteries of a VAE, GPS or tablet. Once audited by a local consultant, the establishment is authorised to use the Accueil Vélo label for a period of 3 years.
