Saint-Omer Discovery Tour - Religious foundations

Born of a double religious foundation by the saint whose name it bears, "the town of the beautiful bell towers", as the chronicler Froissart called it, has welcomed numerous communities throughout its history. Promoted to a bishopric in the 16th century, this Catholic bastion of learning underwent a religious revival in the 19th century.
