Au Fil de la Houlle
This commune nestling in the marshes takes its name from the river that meanders from the Artois to join the Aa, separating the village from Moulle. Water is vital here, supplying Dunkirk via several pumping stations. It is also the base for the village's last traditional jenever distillery. The 18th-century Saint-Bertin well is one of the oldest remains. Its church, one of the oldest in the Audomarois region, features a Romanesque tower dating from the 12th century.
