The route starts at the foot of Saint-Léger Church in Vaudringhem, the current building of which dates from the 18th century. The village, nestled in the valley on the edge of the Pays de Lumbres, is the ideal starting point for this long, gentle route to Lumbres, offering a first glimpse of the rural and religious heritage that punctuates the route.

The route leaves the centre of Vaudringhem via this street, heading towards the hamlet of Larre, through countryside typical of the Haut-Pays. A peaceful stretch where you can settle into your own pace before the next few kilometres.
