Les Grands Camps
The arrival of the railway in Lumbres in the 1880s contributed to the growth of the town and its economy, particularly its paper mills and cement works. Around the station and on rue du Docteur Pontier, a new, affluent population of small businessmen built villas with atypical layouts, imitating the seaside houses of the 1930s.
