The route begins in Remilly-Wirquin, at the start of the greenway that follows the route of the former Anvin–Calais railway line. You’re immediately immersed in the Aa Valley, amongst meadows and woodland, far from road traffic.

Point 2 2.8 km

A gentle path to the Wavrans-sur-l’Aa Forest

The route continues towards the wooded hillsides of Wavrans-sur-l'Aa, designated a national nature reserve for their exceptional limestone grasslands. A wooded, undulating landscape which, in places, still runs alongside the remains of the old railway line, offering a breath of fresh air as you make your way along the route.
