The route leaves the village via a small country road, winding through the rolling countryside typical of the Haut-Pays Boulonnais, heading towards Alquines.

Alquines Church
Stop off at Alquines, a village nestled at an altitude of 211 metres, which shares the title of highest point in the Pas-de-Calais with the hamlet of Les Bullescamps. The Church of Saint-Nicolas, in the heart of the village, bears witness to the rural and religious roots of this village in the Caps et Marais d’Opale Regional Nature Park, which was once served by the Anvin–Calais railway line.

Here, the route runs alongside the Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club, a renowned 18-hole course nestled amidst beech and oak forests overlooking the Aa valley. Certified as a ‘Centre of Excellence for Golf’ and a host to international competitions, the site offers a lush, undulating setting that provides a pleasant contrast to the kilometres of countryside already covered.
